Sam Shah, Branch Manager

Where do you live? I've lived in Wembley Park for two years. Before that I lived and worked in Dubai for four years.

Tell us a little about your career? I worked in property sales in Dubai and I joined Benham and Reeves Residential Lettings in 2010, initially starting up the company's Short Lets division in Kensington before moving to Beaufort Park where I manage the branch.

And an interesting fact about yourself? I enjoy raising money for charity. In 2012, I did a skydive to raise money for premature babies. Scary but well worth it.

Ann Moir, Head of China Desk

Where in London do you live? I live in a vibrant part of North London and enjoy meeting clients across all the different parts of London.

Tell me something about your career: I first moved to London from China in 1998, working as an IT Systems Engineer, before moving back to China with my family in 2008 where I lived in Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing. I have always been very interested in the London property sector and so when I returned to London in 2016, I decided to pursue a career in real estate, initially taking on a role at Countrywide and then becoming Client Relationship Manager at Johns & Co for whom I worked extensively in China, assisting clients with their London property portfolios.

I have wide-ranging knowledge of residential property markets and, as Head of China Desk, I use my expertise to assist Chinese professionals moving to London in their home search as well as helping Chinese investors manage their London properties. I am fluent in English and Mandarin.

What do you enjoy doing outside work? I enjoy Yoga and Taiji, as well as reading and cooking.

Rajib Miah, Lettings Negotiator

Where do you live? I've lived in North West London all my life so I know the area well.

What led you to a career in property? I've always been interested in property so it was the obvious choice of career. I hope to have my own property portfolio very soon!

What do you enjoy most about your job? I love helping to find people a home - discovering what type of property they're looking for and finding it for them.

Rahim Velji, Lettings Negotiator

Where in London do you live? I live in the City of London close to the Barbican.

What do you like most about working in Colindale as an area? Colindale is showing signs of real growth as new property developments arrive. The area has a vibrant community with good cafes and local amenities including Brent Cross Shopping Centre and Colindale underground station which offers direct access to central London within 20 minutes.

Tell me something about your career and what key skills you now bring to your role? I spent three years working for a property company in the UAE before joining Benham and Reeves Lettings. I have a strong background in property negotiation and experience of working with people from diverse backgrounds which I feel is helpful for my role here.

What are your passions outside work? I enjoy cooking and travelling. I have travelled extensively in South East and Central Asia where I enjoyed learning to speak Japanese.

Sylvie Leslie, Lettings Coordinator

Where do you live? I live in Willesden Green.

How long have you worked in property? I've worked in property since 2007, initially as an Administrator for an estate agency and then moving to a large lettings company.

What has been the highlight of your career so far? I did voluntary work in Jamaica for nearly three years. That was an amazing experience.

Anne Benjamin, Lettings Coordinator

Where in London would you like to live? I'm pretty happy in North West London, there's always a lot going on.

What do you like most about working in Colindale as an area? Colindale is rapidly evolving with lots of new property developments arriving and there are good transport links.

How long have you worked in property? I have worked in lettings for over 10 years. My knowledge and experience allow me to provide reliable support to the team at Beaufort Park.

What are your passions outside work? I have been practising Tai Chi for over 2 years now and I have just started Yoga. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends.

Mark Wellington, Area Manager

Where do you live? I live in Kennington.

Tell us something about your career? I have worked in the lettings business for 15 years. Previously with a corporate serviced apartment provider and then joined Benham & Reeves Residential Lettings in 2003 as Manager of City office and then now also manage Canary Wharf office after we opened it in 2009. I am ARLA Propertymark qualified with the NAEA (NFOPP) qualification.

And an interesting fact about yourself? I found flats for Gwyneth Paltrow and Ashley Judd when they were in London filming - that was a pleasure!

George Manolache, Senior Lettings Negotiator

Where in London do you live? I live in Bow, near Roman Road market, an old neighbourhood with a great personality.

Tell me something about your career and what key skills you now bring to your role? I come from a sales and lettings background, so I already have more than two years' experience in this field. I aim to exceed my clients' expectations by going that extra mile.

What are you passions outside of work? I'm a music curator for a new and independent online radio station in Milton Keynes. I also like to travel, experiencing different arts and cultures.

Deimante Nacyte, Lettings Negotiator

Where do you live? South East London

What do you like most about the properties in Canary Wharf? How bright and flawless the properties are. I love that each property brags its own view of the city.

Tell me something about your career? I have a degree in sociology and working in the property sector enables me to combine all my interests and meet some very interesting people from all walks of life.

What are your passions outside of work? I love reading and exercising. I am also a vegetarian so I love browsing through internet/books for recipes.

Callum Upchurch, Branch Manager

What do you like most about City as an area? I love the energy during the week and the stunning skyline, especially as the sunsets. There are also lots of places to go for lunch and after work all of which are close by and filled with interesting people. 

Tell us a bit about your career to date? I've worked in lettings for just over 2 years and am ARLA Propertymark qualified with the NAEA (NFOPP) qualification. I have always worked in a sales environment and find that it suits my character well. 

And an interesting fact about yourself? I enjoy travelling to experience different music, cultures and festivals, it really helps me unwind.

Rosie Dimitrova, Lettings Coordinator

Where do you live? I've lived in Essex for 12 years.

How long have you worked for Benham and Reeves Residential Lettings? I joined the company in 2005 and I enjoy my work as Administrator. I am a member of ARLA Propertymark with the NAEA (NFOPP) qualification. It's crazy busy here but I do love it!

And an interesting fact about yourself? I love travelling and am fluent in three languages which comes in very handy with international landlords and tenants.

Nick Hubbard, Branch Manager

Where do you live? I've lived in Ealing all my life.

Tell us about your career? I've worked in lettings since I was 19 and am ARLA Propertymark qualified with the NAEA (NFOPP) qualification. I've been with Benham and Reeves Residential Lettings since 2006 and was previously Manager of the Knightsbridge office. Before that I was a Negotiator at the Kensington office.

Tell us something interesting about yourself? I once spent a year travelling around SE Asia, Australasia, the USA and Mexico where I met some very interesting people and learnt a lot about different cultures, it was a great life experience.

Henry Ogden, Lettings Negotiator

Where do you live? I used to live in West Kensington but now live in Hammersmith, zone 2 which is an exciting place to be as there is so much change taking place in the area.

What made you move into lettings? I started out as a landscape gardener but I've always been interested in property so decided on a career change. I spent several years working for a lettings agency in Putney, before joining Benham and Reeves Lettings in 2013.

What interests do you have outside work? I have a passion for the outdoors and I love mountaineering. I hope to climb Everest one day.

Glen Neligan, Area Manager

Where do you live? I live in Berkshire.

How did you begin your career in lettings? When I was younger I worked towards becoming a professional footballer but an injury altered all that. Dealing with people comes very naturally to me so when an opportunity arose, working in real estate seemed a good fit. I joined Benham and Reeves Residential Lettings in 1999 and am ARLA Propertymark qualified with the NAEA (NFOPP) qualification.

What are your interests outside work? Sport is still a passion as has property been for many years, so working in this part of London and regularly dealing with many Chelsea and Fulham players gives me a chance to connect the two. Family time is also important to me.

Yoshi Tsuji, Manager, Corporate Services - Japan Desk

Where in London do you live? I live in Richmond.

Tell me something about your career: After several years working in recruitment in Tokyo, I moved to the UK in 2001 to study for a Masters degree. After graduating, I began my career in the property industry, becoming a lettings negotiator for a Japanese-owned agency. I progressed with the firm, working in central London and eventually managing six branches.

What skills do you bring to your role? I have extensive experience of the corporate lettings market in London, in particular working with Japanese corporate clients. I am also a member of ARLA Propertymark. This expertise is invaluable in my role heading the Japanese desk of Benham and Reeves Lettings' dedicated corporate services department.

What do you enjoy doing outside work? I love running in Richmond Park and usually try and do a 12k run at the weekend.

Shaun Tan, Lettings Negotiator

Where do you live? I am Malaysian Chinese and recently moved to the UK. At the moment, I live in Weybridge, Surrey which I love - it's close to the river and near beautiful countryside.

What do you like most about properties in Fulham Reach? Fulham Reach is in a really vibrant part of West London and there are some fabulous properties here - luxurious and contemporary, these modern apartments offer a fantastic lifestyle. Fulham and Chelsea are packed with exclusive designer stores and upmarket eateries too. It's a great place to work.

What are your passions outside work? My true passion is cars and racing. Back in Malaysia I used to compete in the 12 hour Endurance Race in Sepang - my best result was second place, something I'm very proud of. I was also a team manager for the Bridgestone racing team.

Anne Battumur, PA to Director, Marc von Grundherr

Where do you live? I live in South-West London.

Tell me something about your career? I began my career in Real Estate in 2013 as an Office Coordinator working around Pimlico and Westminster. Throughout the years I have worked in Real Estate, I have gained invaluable experience and skills which fits well with my role now at Benham and Reeves Residential Lettings assisting our Lettings Director.

What are your passions outside of work? I am passionate about art, music and dance, particularly the Argentinian Tango.

Mark Winship, Branch Manager

Where in London do you live? I have lived in Enfield Chase for the last six years.

What do you like most about working in Hampstead as an area?I love the fact that Hampstead has some of North London's best parks and pubs to offer along with that traditional village feel. The area also features some of the most exquisite properties in London.

Tell me something about your career and what key skills you now bring to your role? With ten years of experience in the North West London market having worked with both corporates and independent firms, I feel I now have a balanced understanding of the property sector.

What are your passions outside work? I am passionate about fitness and healthy lifestyle choices. When I was younger, I represented the Great Britain junior team as an athlete. I now am an avid traveller.

Dele Lawal, Senior Lettings Negotiator

Where in London do you live? North London at the moment.

What do you like most about working in Hampstead as an area?Properties in Hampstead have a wealth of character and a distinctive charm, unlike anywhere else in London. I enjoy the quaint village lifestyle, while being so close to central London.

Tell me something about your career and what key skills you now bring to your role? Although I graduated from University as an Aerospace Engineer, I discovered my true calling when I did a stint as a Property Negotiator during my gap year. Since then I have gained good career experience working in the residential lettings sector and I love it.

What are your passions outside work? I am passionate about travel, health and fitness. I enjoy playing football and am a proud Manchester United fan!

Bruce McLaren, Lettings Coordinator

Where in London do you live? I live in Tufnell Park, a vibrant part of North London.

What do you like most about working in Hampstead as an area? Hampstead has a lovely village feel which is unique being so close to the City. I absolutely love Hampstead Heath which is within walking distance from my home.

Tell me something about your career and what key skills you now bring to your role? I started my career in hotel management but switched to property as it suits my people skills more. I enjoy meeting people and the lettings sector certainly keeps me busy and no two days are the same.

What are your passions outside work? I enjoy travelling and meeting people from all walks of life. I am also very fitness focused, maintaining a healthy lifestyle is really important to me.

Dinesh Kumar, Serviced Apartment Manager

Where do you live? I've lived in East London for the last couple of years.

Tell us something about your career? I worked in finance for four years before joining Benham and Reeves Lettings where I have been overseeing the Short Lets department since 2011. 

And an interesting fact about yourself? I have an Engineering Degree from India and an MBA from Manchester but I love working in property and seeing new buildings go up in London which is exciting.

Kristy Biggs, Compliance Officer

Where in London do you live? I live in West London, near the River.

How long have you worked in property? For 13 years and still loving it.

Tell me something about your career? I have gained valuable experience working in property management, sales and administration which has given me an in-depth understanding of this fast-paced industry.

What are your passions outside work? I enjoy travelling taking in history and culture; I particularly love visiting museums when I have time.

Shamima Begum, PA to Managing Director, Anita Mehra

Where do you live? I live in Crouch End, North London where the Victorian architecture is so beautiful.

What do you like most about working in property? London has a rich history and I feel this is really reflected in the properties it has to offer. There are so many different types of property too which you don't get in all parts of the world. I love the cobbled streets and mews that can be found in the backwaters of London.

What is your favourite local cafe or bar? I love my cocktails, Alice House in West Hampstead is a hidden gem. The cocktails are amazing and staff are super friendly.

What are your passions outside work? Keeping fit and healthy is very important to me and I love cooking, particularly experimenting with different recipes.

Where do you live? I've lived in Enfield for five years.

Peter Tofis, Lettings Negotiator

Tell us a bit about your career to date? Most of my career has been spent in central London’s retail sector but I have always had a strong interest in London property and am now loving being involved in it full-time, every day is different. 

And an interesting fact about yourself? I love spending time with my family. I like football and I am an avid Chelsea supporter. I love keeping fit especially jogging.

Describe yourself in three words: Patient, energetic, technological.

What do you like to do at the weekend? I love gadgets so I'll probably be playing with some of my favourites. I also love travelling, especially discovering new places. I like to cook and play football. I like variety.

If you could live anywhere in London, where would it be? I really like mansion blocks and period conversions so I would pick St Johns Wood or Hampstead as these are more villagey locations.

Saman Safdari, Senior Lettings Negotiator

Where do you live? I live in Highgate.

What do you like most about the properties around Hyde Park? Many of the homes are traditional period properties, luxurious and very elegant. But we also have plenty of new residential developments too so there is a really interesting mix.

What do you enjoy most about your job? I love being able to use my knowledge of the local area to help clients find their perfect home.

What is your favourite local Hyde Park café or bar? My favourite local cafe is actually in Hyde Park itself - the Dell, next to the Serpentine.

What are your passions outside work? I love keeping fit but my passions are contact sports such as playing football, rugby and tennis.

Describe yourself in three words: Adventurous, enthusiastic, cheerful.

If you could live anywhere in London, where would it be? I've lived in East London all my life and I love it. There's so much to do - a day out in Brick Lane taking in the market stalls; walking through Victoria Park, shopping at Box Park and nights out in Shoreditch - you're spoilt for choice.

How do you describe your job to friends? Stimulating and rewarding. Paying attention to detail is essential in my job and I really enjoy helping our tenants with all those little details to ensure that the process of moving into their new home goes as smoothly as possible.

Where do you live? I live in North London.

What is your favourite local Hyde Park bar or café? I like the Orangery it’s a lovely place in the heart of the Hyde park.

What are your passions outside of work? I love "food travel" when you get a taste and sense of places. Also, dancing and light fitness is what I love doing especially after a day at work and on the weekends.

Where do you live? Kingston Upon Thames

What do you like most about the properties in Fulham? The modern properties in Fulham are exceptional with ultramodern finishes, many new homes taking in views over the River Thames.

Tell me something about your career? I am originally from South Africa and have been doing estate agency since 2006 starting off in Sales. I moved over to lettings, I am very passionate about my career and have stayed in the industry since my move to London in 2016.

What is your favourite local Fulham café or bar? The Waterside is my favourite purely for the excellent position it is located on the river front and the views are spectacular.

What are your passions outside work? Gym, walking, holidays, beachside resorts preferably, shopping and most of all spending time with my family.

Anne Cam, Lettings Negotiator

Where do you live? I've lived in Wandsworth for nearly 15 years.

Tell us a bit about your career? I worked for a property consultancy in Clapham for three years, before joining Benham and Reeves Residential Lettings in 2012.

And something interesting about yourself? I enjoy Thai dancing and also play ice hockey. I speak four languages - English, Vietnamese, Thai and Cantonese.

Where in London do you live? I live in North West London.

What do you like most about working in Fulham? I love the riverside location, the local parks and the bustling cafes and restaurants. There is a great mix of properties too - from smart, modern developments to beautiful Victorian properties.

Tell me something about your key skills: Having worked in the property industry for several years, I have good communication skills and enjoy meeting clients. I am also methodical and well organised - essential skills for this busy and varied role.

Tell us about your career? I worked for many years for a Brazilian Bank and joined Benham and Reeves Lettings at the start of 2002 and have enjoyed every minute of it.

Where do you live? Earlsfield

What do you like most about the properties in Kensington? Kensington offers distinctive properties with lots of character in a highly desirable location with great transport links into the West End and City.

Tell me something about your career? I once worked in banking and did voluntary policing for two years but property is my passion and I’ve definitely found my home in it.

What are your passions outside of work? Theatre, galleries and travelling.

Teresa Vasey, Senior Lettings Negotiator

Where do you live? Happily in Putney, South West London.

How long have you worked in lettings? I've worked in property since 2001, in sales and since 2007, in lettings with Benham and Reeves Residential Lettings. The work is very varied but I particularly enjoy the concluding of rentals - it's extremely busy and involved but I really enjoy it.

Tell us something interesting about yourself? I worked for Reuters in Fleet Street for seven years which was very interesting.

George Gheorghita, Lettings Negotiator

Where in London do you live? I currently live in Chiswick, W4.

What do you like most about working in Kew as an area?I enjoy the country lifestyle and the selection of independent shops and cafes in the area. I love fact that there are plenty of open green spaces around, including the world-famous Royal Botanic Gardens.

Tell me something about your career and what key skills you now bring to your role? I have worked in residential lettings for the last couple of years. I am passionate about the sector, and am excited to bring my communication and service delivery skills to this role.

What are your passions outside work? I enjoy playing football, horse riding, travelling and classical concerts.

Lisa-Jane Stratton, Branch Manager

Where do you live? I was born in the UK and raised in England and the US. I have lived in Chelsea for several years.

Tell us about your career? Over the past 25 years, I've been involved in the buying, selling and renting of residential properties and marketing of commercial premises internationally. Earlier in my career, I worked for the NHS, helping to secure hospital re-development funding, and also helped to launch The London Aquarium. I have been with Benham and Reeves Residential Lettings since 2009 and am ARLA Propertymark qualified with the NAEA (NFOPP) qualification.

And something interesting about yourself? In 1990 I was named a 'Woman of Tomorrow' finalist by Cosmopolitan Magazine UK and in 1997 was nominated as a 'Woman to Watch' for my role in delivering the £150m London Aquarium. I really enjoy working in property too.

Mia Volic, Lettings Negotiator

Where do you live? I have lived in the W9 postcode for the last 18 years.

What do you like most about the properties in Kensington? Much of Kensington was built in the Victorian era so I like the fact that the area has a diverse range of properties, plenty of lovely mansion blocks and some wonderful garden squares.

Tell me something about your career? I worked in a Cocktail Bar before starting my career in property so I know how to make good cocktails. I started my property career in the London Bridge area before finally moving to West London to kick start my lettings career.

What is your favourite local cafe or bar? Caffe Concerto in Kensington, they sell the most delightful cakes.

What are your passions outside work? I like travelling and seeing new places. I also enjoy baking and enjoy taking my dog on long walks - it really clears your head after a long day.

Thuraya Al-Haidari, Lettings Coordinator

Where do you live? I've lived in Fulham for 25 years.

How long have you worked in property? I worked for a Mayfair estate agency for four and a half years and joined Benham and Reeves Residential Lettings in 2011 as a Lettings Administrator at the Hampstead branch then I moved in 2012 to the Highgate branch. I am now a member of ARLA Propertymark.

And an interesting fact about yourself? I speak Arabic which is handy sometimes because there are a lot of buy-to-let investors who appreciate it when I can talk to them in their own language.

Where do you live? I live in Tooting now but before that I lived in Fulham.

Tell us about your career? I have a law degree from the University of Kent and having worked at the Canary Wharf branch of Benham and Reeves Residential Lettings for four years, I am excited about being involved with the regeneration at Nine Elms that is transforming the area into a vibrant riverside community.

And an interesting fact about yourself? I'm a very keen Chelsea fan.

Krystal Richards, Senior Lettings Negotiator

Where do you live? I've lived in Bermondsey for 15 years, it's near to central London and has a good mix of people.

Tell us something about your career? I studied Business Management at UEL University and after graduating decided that I would like to pursue a career in property. I love my job at Benham and Reeves Lettings and I work with a great team of people which is an added bonus.

What interests do you have outside work? I love interior design and seeing how properties can be improved. I also love running and am preparing for the 'Race for Life' marathon in 2014.

Maria Farhana, Lettings Coordinator

Where in London do you live? I live in East London.

Why do you like working in Surrey Quays? I'm fascinated by how Surrey Quays is developing; there are some great-value property developments here now which is really drawing in new people who may not have been familiar with the area before.

Tell me something about your career and what skills you bring to your role I have more than a decade of property experience and previously worked in an estate agency lettings team. What are your passions outside work? I try to keep fit so most days you'll find me in the gym after work.

Tell us something about your career? I have worked in the lettings business for 15 years. Previously with a corporate serviced apartment provider and then joined Benham & Reeves Residential Lettings in 2003 as Manager of City office and then now also manage Canary Wharf office after we opened it in 2009. I am ARLA Propertymark qualified with the NAEA (NFOPP) qualification.

And an interesting fact about yourself? I found flats for Gwyneth Paltrow and Ashley Judd when they were in London filming - that was a pleasure!

Where do you live? I've lived in Battersea for seven years.

How long have you worked for Benham and Reeves Residential Lettings? I joined the company in 2011 and I am ARLA Propertymark qualified with the NAEA (NFOPP) qualification. The City is a great place to do business, I really enjoy helping people find homes they will enjoy renting.

And an interesting fact about yourself? I used to be a fitness instructor and have qualifications in weight loss, nutrition and basic physiotherapy.

Where do you live? I live in East London.

What do you find special about Wapping? Wapping is close to central London as well as the City and Canary Wharf so it's a convenient location with lots going on. It is an emerging location - modern and vibrant yet with a fascinating history too.

Why do you enjoy working in property? I am probably the most optimistic person you will ever meet! I love London - I moved to the UK six years ago and just fell in love with the city. One of the things I enjoy most about my work meeting so many people from all walks of life.

What is your top property tip? If you like a property, go for it. It won't hang around for long.

Where will we find you after work? I love playing football and tennis and going to the gym.
