The City area is home to many small and larger-scale gardens, parks and open spaces where workers, residents and visitors can take time out to relax and enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of a space that seems many miles from the hustle and bustle of City life.

Few places have changed as dramatically in recent years as the capital’s Docklands, seven miles of land east of Tower Bridge to Woolwich were left derelict when the last of the docks closed in 1981. Now the area has been transformed, creating new homes, workplaces and leisure facilities for a fresh generation of Londoners.

Transport

Commuting is simple: on-foot is most popular, water taxis and a range of transport options including the Jubilee Tube extension linking the West End to the Isle of Dogs and the Greenwich Peninsula make getting around easy.
